The WJY-0030-1 grinding machine is used. The target roughness is Ra0.03um. 

In our customer's factory, the grinding is done by hand. An operator uses 400 grit sandpaper to grind the surface then 1200 grit sandpaper. It normally takes around 6 minutes to get one part ground. Ra0.03um can be reached. 

Our grinding head is made of flexible and soft material. The process is the simulation of hand grinding but thanks to the flexible and soft material, a grinding head with sandpaper can partially wrap the out diameter therefore the grinding area is bigger than the hand process. Z axis automatically loads a part into the triangle chuck then load a grinding head. The Z axis moves the grinding head and partially wraps the surface, move back and forth just like what an operator does while the part spins there. On the cone place between large diameter and small diameter of the part, the grinding head can adjust its angle to keep well wrapping the surface. First the 600 grit sand paper grinding head is used then 1200 grit sandpaper grind heard is used. Around 4 minutes, a part can be ground well and Ra0.03um is achieved.
